Young People

Reach Mentoring is a place where you can come if you need someone to talk to or are facing something difficult.

We provide a safe space for pupils to come and feel supported in whatever they are going through.

Reach exists to journey alongside you and chat with you about whatever you need. We are here to listen.

Who we are?

We have many different mentors who all share the same goal… to see you thrive!

Our role is to support you, listen to you and cheer you on, in all you do!

What we do?

We provide one mentoring session a week to each pupil (this is normally 30-45 minutes).

You will get allocated a time and be excused from class to meet with your mentor.

Sometimes it will be you and your mentor, or sometimes there will be multiple mentors and multiple pupils but you will always have an opportunity to chat with your mentor one to one.

How to get involved?

Talk to your form teacher, year head or the designated teacher for pastoral care in your school if you feel like you would benefit from meeting with a mentor.

Some comments from our previous mentees:

"I can be myself and talk openly with you."

“Mentoring makes me feel less anxious and makes my feelings feel valid.”

“I'm not good at talking to other people but Reach has helped me to increase my confidence in talking about how I feel to others.”

“I love coming to Reach. Me and my mentor always have fun and chat about life. I have had a tough 2 years past and my mentor helps me. Every time I leave Reach I feel happier and lighter like my problems have been made manageable.”

“I’m not worried about change anymore.”

"I don't have the entire weight of what's happened on my shoulders anymore because I have been able to talk about it."
